Hello everyone,
I am in my 50's and enjoy meeting new people, making new honest friends. I have made many honest friends over the years since internet chat became known, it was an awesome experience when i actually got to meet quite a few of them over the years. We have remained friends for many years as well.
I am happily married to a guy who I met online through an ex girlfriend. She introduced him to me as a friend, as they were still dating while in college,
I was working at a deaf school as a residential staff up to 14 girls average 12 per year since 1999. I have worked there since 1976, graduated there as well as becoming a tutor, then eventually a sub teacher oh yea without a degree for two years as well as teacher's aide. I eventually got a degree in Library/Media Assistant degree. Never got a job in that field as got full time job working at the deaf school.
My family is precious to me. I lost my mother, this year will be 10 years since she her passing on the month of our birthdays, my daughter was born on my birthday, which made it more special because she is an angel of my mother, looks like her and acts like her, laughs like her, drives me crazy sometimes. LOL She is my precious rock.
We moved out here to Battle Ground from Vancouver, and wow what a living...peace and quiet, from all that crazy drama in Vancouver. Ahhhh. We are hoping to build a chicken house, but I have gotten hurt at work, and have not been working for 7 months now, so cannot do anything without hurting my foot. My husband is not a handyman as I am, am putting him in training on some things, but hes horrible in woodworking, cuts things crooked...sigh. I had hoped he could help me get it build because a neighbor is giving us 5 chickens to start with. But guess that is on hold for now. I'm hoping to get some help in getting this build...some day soon.
We are gardeners, we love gardening, however hubby is doing all the work this year. SIGH Not much fun for me. I also since being disabled for the time being have been doing a lot of reading, enjoy reading teen history fiction books. They are awesome, especially the ones that written by Whelan (Gloria) and Thor (Annika).
